I’d been a canoeist since I was young, but had never seen a flat water race in person. I was impressed by the power and gracefulness the canoeist had using their whole body to propel the craft forward. I wanted to capture some of that in this image by slowing the shutter speed down. The late afternoon sun finally broke through the rain clouds that had been present the whole day and gave me this image.
